My Chemical Romance Release 2005 Live Version of "Helena"

Ahead of the release of the deluxe reissue of their iconic album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, My Chemical Romance has released a previously unreleased live version of their hit song, “Helena”. The track was recorded live in 2005 for BBC Radio 1’s “The Lock Up”.

In just a few weeks, My Chemical Romance will release a remixed version of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, the album that took the world by storm in 2004 with songs like “Helena”, “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)”, and “The Ghost Of You” (check out our review of the original album here).

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was the band’s second album, released on June 8th, 2004 via Reprise Records. Less than a year after its release, it was certified platinum by the RIAA, and has gone on to sell more than 3 million copies.

This summer, My Chemical Romance will embark on a headlining tour of epic proportions, where they will perform in stadiums across North America on the “Long Live: The Black Parade” tour. A Bay Area date is set for July 19th in San Francisco, CA at Oracle Park.
