Talking Heads Release Music Video of "Psycho Killer" Starring Saoirse Ronan

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the band’s first show at CBGB, Talking Heads has unveiled a music video for their iconic track, “Psycho Killer”, taken from the band’s first album, Talking Heads: 77, released on September 16th, 1977. The video was directed by Mike Mills and stars actress Saoirse Ronan. The band stated the following on the release of the video:

“This video makes the song better- We LOVE what this video is NOT - it's not literal, creepy, bloody, physically violent or obvious.” - Talking Heads. Thank you Mike Mills, Saoirse Ronan and everyone that worked on this clip.”

You can check out the video in its entirety below. Talking Heads are also preparing to release a “Super Deluxe Edition” of their second album, More Songs About Buildings and Food, on July 25th, 2025. The album will be completely remastered and paired with 11 rarities (4 previously unreleased), a complete unreleased live show from 1978 recorded at Entermedia Theatre in New York, a 60 page hardback book with new liners by the band and more.
