Greeley Estates To Reunite At Scary Kids Scaring Kids Album Release Show

Last Friday, post-hardcore act Scary Kids Scaring Kids released their newest album, Maps Written in Water. To celebrate the album release, the band announced that they will be holding an official album release show on September 13th at the Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ.

But the new album wasn’t the only thing catching the eye of fans. It was announced that, along with Dead Rabbit and Emo Night Phoenix on the bill, metalcore act Greeley Estates would be reuniting for a main support slot.

There is no official word on who will be joining this reunion lineup of the band, but it has been confirmed that The Word Alive’s Telle Smith, who was one of the original members of the band, will be returning for bass and backing vocal duties. We have reached out to the band for comment on the lineup.

Greeley Estates started in 2002, and released a total of five albums and four EPs throughout their career. They began with a post-hardcore sound on albums like Outside of This and Far From the Lies, shifting to metalcore with the release of their album Go West Young Man, Let The Evil Go East in 2008 and No Rain, No Rainbow in 2010. The band’s final releases were The Death of Greeley Estates in 2011, and the Calling All The Hopeless EP in 2017 before officially disbanding the following year.

The final lineup of Greeley Estates consisted of lead vocalist Ryan Zimmerman, guitarist David Ludlow, bassist Kyle Koelsch, and drummer Chris Julian.
