Rex Tycoon Release New Single "Bird on the Bricks"

Smartpunk Records rock act Rex Tycoon has unveiled a brand new song from their upcoming albium, No Limits 2 Luv, which is set to be released on August 1st, 2025. The new track is titled “Bird On The Bricks”, and it can be heard in its entirety below.

In a press release announcing the single, the band stated the following:

"The seeds for this song were planted in my head about 5 years ago at this point on the porch at Keith and Joey’s old place where someone used the phrase 'bird on the bricks' in conversation and it stuck in my head for some reason. I went home and laid down the chords, but the song didn’t get developed as a full band until a few years later. It developed into a song about the sensation that I feel a lot of people probably share, the feeling of being sort of stuck in place while the world is moving so fast around you and passing you by. Oftentimes, I feel like I am waiting idly by for opportunities to really turn my life into something, meanwhile, I’m just sort of coasting through life working menial jobs and not doing anything. The lyrics for the song are all sort of coming from that place."
