Soft Cuff Release New Single and Music Video, "Dennis Quaalude (PTSD)"
Instrumental groove act Soft Cuff has unveiled a brand new single titled “Dennis Quaalude (PTSD)”, featuring a performance from 9henom. The track was released via Funk Night Records.
In a press release announcing the track, the band stated the following:
"Dennis Quaalude (PTSD) was written from a place of exhaustion and desperation and serves as a plea for change — in the systems that corrupt and oppress, and within ourselves. Finding the tones for this song was a lot of fun; I like all of the textures and dynamics, each part has its own identity that ties in well with the whole sonic vision. The music video was shot on 16mm film and is inspired by the dichotomy of chasing dreams versus facing reality in a late-stage capitalist society with Lynchian-esque visuals inspired by works in the medium from Michel Gondry, Steven Soderbergh, Spike Jonze, and David Fincher.”
