Metallica Announces 'Life Burns Faster' Las Vegas Sphere Residency

After months of rumors and speculation, Metallica has announced that they will indeed be headlining a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The residency, titled Life Burns Faster, will take place October 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 22nd, 24th, 29th, and 31st; November 5th and 7th; and January 28th and 30th, 2027.

The band will continue their two-night “No Repeat Weekend”, where they will play a unique setlist each night. In a press release announcing the event, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich stated the following:

“About 12 seconds into the opening night of  Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!’ This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way fuckin’ psyched to go next level!”
