Devil Master Release New Single and Music Video "Death Anthem"

Theatrical psych metal act Devil Master has released a brand new single and music video titled “Death Anthem”. The track comes from the band’s forthcoming album Bloody Dreams, which is set to be released on September 4th via Relapse Records.

In a press release, member Darkest Prince stated:

“an homage eulogy to G.I.S.M. - our label mates with visionary Sakevi Yokohama having passed on August 23 2023, and his cohort Randy Uchida in 2001. Lyrically, you can hear our calls to Satan, Dionysus and Kali respectively! Fangs to Eva and crew for the video.” 

“The etymology of the word ‘gothic’ is from the Gothic tribes. They were called barbaric. Eventually, that word settled into cathedrals, which people thought looked horrific. Literature took its name from the architecture [of the day]. So, our psychedelic blend of black metal and punk is defiant. Literally the marriage and definition of the whole history of the etymology of the word ‘gothic,’ of the barbarian punk side up to the spiritual, dark, supernatural, gothic evil.”
