Andy Williams, Former Every Time I Die Guitarist, Dies at 48

It has been reported that Andy Williams, a professional wrestler and the former guitarist of hardcore band Every Time I Die, has died at the age of 48. Williams collapsed and experienced a medical emergency during a wrestling match in Pennsylvania on September 5th, 2026.

Williams, who wrestled under the name The Butcher, collapsed outside of the wrestling ring. Paramedics performed chest compressions and used a defibrilator on him. Williams was transported to a nearby hospital where he passed.

Williams was a founding member of the band Every Time I Die, alongide guitarist Jordan Buckley and Michael Novak. He performed on each Every Time I Die release, dating back to their debut EP The Burial Plot Bidding War and concluding with their final album, Radical, in 2021. The band called it quits in 2022, and Williams later started the band Atomic Rule while wrestling professionally for the better part of a decade.

Our thoughts are with Williams’ friends, family, and bandmates at this time.
