There may quite possibly be no music festival in the history of the world that is more famous than Lollapalooza (at least, in the non-touring category). Originally conceived in 1991 by Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, the incredibly well known musical festival was originally supposed to act merely as a send-off for Farrell's band (who would reunite years later), but soon proved to take on a life of its own. The festival ran until 1997, before reviving in 2003, doing a short North American tour, and then partnering with William Morris Agency and C3 Presents (at the time known as Capital Sports Entertainment) to set up a home base in Grant Park, Chicago.
Each year, fans of alternative music eagerly await the monumental lineup that the festival delivers, and this year is no exception. The four day festival will feature the likes Muse, Lorde, The Killers, Blink-182, Chance The Rapper, The XX, Arcade Fire, Justice, and so many more in a lineup that you'll have to see to believe.
