It’s been nearly five years since Static-X frontman Wayne Static passed away, and the remaining members are heading out on a tour this summer to pay tribute to the late singer and co-founding member of the band. The tour will play as both a memorial to Static, and a 20th anniversary celebration of the band’s 1999 debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip. The original members of Static-X (Tony Campos, Ken Jay, and Koichi Fukuda) will be embarking on the tour beginning on June 18th in Tempe, AZ. The tour will wrap up on July 27th in Las Vegas, NV.

The band will joined throughout the tour by special guest headliners Devil Driver (with vocalist Dez Fafara of Coal Chamber), and Dope on each date.

In regards to this tour, the band stated the following via a press release from the band’s team:

”Our intention is to pay ultimate respect to Wayne and to celebrate the music that has been in all of our hearts for more than 20 years. It’s all about channeling the vibe from 1999 to the best of our ability and playing those classic Static-X songs live and loud.” - bassist Tony Campos

”Rehearsals have been awesome. The music and the vocals are sounding really great! I feel like Wayne would be proud.” - guitarist Koichi Fukuda

“We understand that people are naturally going to want to know more about who is singing. We have discussed this at great length and we came to the conclusion that at this time, it would be inappropriate for us to put the focus on anyone other than Wayne, Tony, Koichi, and myself. It feels like the best way for us to celebrate Wayne’s legacy, along with the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip, with all our fans.” - drummer Ken Jay.
