Foo Fighters Release Surprise New Music Video, "Run"

Just a few days after their return to performing at this year's BottleRock Napa Festival, Foo Fighters have unveiled not only a brand new song, but a video to accompany it. The new song, "Run", premiered this morning via Foo Fighters page, in a music video directed by the band's frontman Dave Grohl.

The video shows the band performing in a retirement home, donned in prosthetics and fake beards that offer convincing yet hilarious results. The band brings their show to a rather sad-looking nursing home, instilling a riot amongst the crowd when one of the residents decides to stage dive off of a platform in the room.

The track itself begins in a slower fashion before moving headfirst into a cavalcade of heavy guitar riffs, screaming vocals, and a soaring chorus. You can check out the video below, and you can pick up the new track on iTunes.

Whether or not there is a new Foo Fighters record in the works, we don't know. However, Grohl did make an interesting statement at this past weekend's BottleRock Festival. "We're gonna play some old songs. Maybe some new ones....maybe we already made an entire record and we just haven't told you guys yet." The audience cheers, as Grohl laughs and states, "but probably not."

Only time will tell.
